Bai Lu (born Bai Mengyan; September 23, 1994) is a Chinese actress, model, and singer recognized for her versatile performances in both modern and historical television dramas. Born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, she entered the entertainment industry in 2016 with a music video appearance and her first television role in the series Zhaoge. In 2012, Bai Lu took part in an overseas audition held by SM Entertainment but did not succeed. In 2015, she starred in a short film for a literary magazine and later appeared on its cover. She then ventured into acting, featuring in the short film “Meeting You Is Such a Good Thing,” produced by Cat’s Tree Studio.

Education and pre-debut activities
Bai Lu studied foreign languages at the Changzhou Campus Tourism and Business branch of Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Commerce. She graduated in 2015. While still a student, Bai Lu explored her interest in the entertainment industry by auditioning in Shanghai for SM Entertainment’s overseas trainee program in 2012.
