Career

Beginnings and Supporting Roles (2019–2021)

Choi made his television debut in 2019 with a supporting appearance as Im Geon-hyuk in the JTBC drama At Eighteen (Moment of 18). He went on to earn ensemble and supporting roles across a variety of genres, including:

In 2024, he starred as Cho Kyung-hwan, a rugged, physically imposing detective in the MBC period drama Chief Detective 1958 (a prequel project), gaining attention for his physical transformation and dynamic performance.

In 2025, Choi took on leading roles in TVING’s high school political drama I Am a Running Mate as Yang Won-dae, and Netflix romantic comedy Can This Love Be Translated? (Release in January 2026) as Kim Yong-woo, the manager of a top actress.
