Richard Madden (born Richard Madden in Elderslie, Renfrewshire, Scotland on June 8, 1986) is a Scottish actor best known for his role as Robb Stark on Game Of Thrones. Madden’s first cinematic role would come at age 14 when he was cast in the movie Complicity. He would enroll and graduate from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2007. After appearing in the films Chatroom and Worried About The Boy, Madden starred as Robb Stark in the HBO series Game Of Thrones. Madden will star as Prince Charming in the 2015 Disney live-action adaptation of Cinderella.

Richard Madden was born in Elderslie, Renfrewshire, on 18 June 1986 to his parents Pat and Richard. His father was a firefighter, and his mother was a primary school teacher. He has two siblings with whom he grew up in the city of Glasgow. As a child, Madden was very shy; therefore, he joined PACE Youth Theatre to overcome his shyness.
While studying acting at the theatre, he was soon cast as a child artist in the movie adaptation of the novel Complicity in 2000. He was also seen in the children’s television series, Barmy Aunt Boomerang. He went to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he graduated in the year 2007.
