Personal Life

In his personal life, Khan had a high-profile relationship with actress Aishwarya Rai from 1999 to 2001. After their breakup, Aishwarya claimed that he harassed her and sometimes abused her during their time together. Over the years, Salman has also been linked to actresses like Katrina Kaif, Sangeeta Bijlani, and Somy Ali, and he has been in a relationship with actress Iulia Vântur since 2012. In 2011, Khan opened up about his struggle with trigeminal neuralgia, a painful facial nerve disorder that impacted his voice and caused him significant discomfort.

Back in September 2002, Salman found himself in a serious situation when he drove his car into a bakery in Mumbai while intoxicated, resulting in one tragic death and four injuries. Initially, he faced charges of culpable homicide, but those were eventually dropped. Fast forward to 2013, he was charged again and maintained his innocence. In May 2015, the court found him guilty and handed down a five-year prison sentence, but they suspended it pending his appeal, which was scheduled for July that same year. Interestingly, Salman’s driver, Ashok Singh, faced perjury charges after claiming he was behind the wheel during the accident. Meanwhile, the key witness, Ravindra Patil, a police constable, vanished under mysterious circumstances and later died. Ultimately, Khan was acquitted in December 2015. This wasn’t his first brush with the law; he had also been arrested for hunting endangered species like the Chinkara (the Indian gazelle) and poaching a blackbuck, but he was acquitted in both cases in July 2016, nearly two decades after those incidents.
