Salman Khan, originally named Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, was born on December 27, 1965, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. He grew up in a Hindi and Muslim family, with his father Salim working as a screenwriter, his mother Salma as a homemaker, and siblings Arbaaz and Sohail, along with his sisters Alvira and Arpita, the latter of whom is adopted. Salman attended The Scindia School in Gwalior and St. Stanislaus High School before enrolling at St. Xavier’s College. However, he decided to drop out to pursue a career as an assistant director.
